Based in Taunton, Data and Power Solutions is a leading manufacturer of intelligent power distribution units for a variety of sectors, mainly IT, Finance, Industrial and Defence. We are looking for a 1st line Technical Sales Advisor who can help us with our expanding business.

 

As a small office with a large customer base DPS rely upon each team member to work under their own initiative, so there is plenty of scope to grow and be creative in the job.

 

If you want a company where the rules and regulations are laid out and given to you to follow then we're probably not for you. You must be quick, concerned, thoughtful and patient with our customers as we value them highly. This is not a "hard sell" position. We want someone who will be a source of knowledge on the phone, quote the customer and make sure they have got just what they needed.

 

What we are looking for is as follows:

 

Essential skills:

 

Excellent written and spoken English

Calm and helpful manner

Good IT skills on Windows Operating Systems and IT Networking

Good working knowledge of MS Excel& Word

 

Preferred:

 

General understanding of Electrical systems and/or Mechanical design

Knowledge of HTML / Search Engine Optimisation

 

 

Would like:

 

Knowledge of some database system (e.g. MYSQL / MS SQL or another database software)

 

A formal qualification would be helpful but is not necessary. If you have experience in the following, please apply:
